Getting Wrinkles? 2 Treatment Options To Help Them Go Away

If you are starting to see wrinkles on your face, you should start getting treatment now before the wrinkles become much deeper and worse. To help you, below are two treatment options you have so you will see fewer wrinkles when you look in the mirror.

Juvederm

Juvederm is a filler that adds volume to the wrinkled area. Adding volume will make the wrinkles fill in so they will go away or become much less noticeable.  The main ingredient used in Juvederm is hyaluronic acid, which is found inside the human body, which makes this ingredient more natural. Once injected, the collagen on your skin will begin to plump. Collagen is the most important thing on your face as this is what keeps you looking young. As a person ages, collagen starts breaking down, which is what causes wrinkles to appear.

The Juvederm is then injected into your skin. Many doctors use a pain reducer along with the filler to help reduce pain while you are getting the injections. There are some common side effects, such as redness, itching, and tenderness, but these will go away within a couple of weeks. The doctor will ask you to avoid the sun and to not wear makeup for the first day or so after the treatment. Juvederm generally lasts a few months or years, and then you will have to have the procedure done again to keep the wrinkles away. How long it will last depends on how bad your winkles were.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

If you have fine lines and wrinkles, laser skin resurfacing is a good option for you. This will not help with deep wrinkles, however. Laser skin resurfacing can also help with acne or sun damage. During the procedure, the doctor uses a laser at the wrinkled area. This laser removes the top layer of your skin, but the doctor can use a stronger laser that removes a second layer of skin. Removing the skin will make collagen grow, making your wrinkles go away or become much less noticeable. Laser skin resurfacing works best on lines around the eyes, mouth, or forehead.

In about a week, your skin will become very dry and then start to peel. This may last for a couple of weeks. After this time has passed, you will then see the effects of this treatment.
